TDF is the first prototype - a village being built by Dreamers of different origins: engineers, artists, permaculturists, scientists, innovators, nomads. So please use it however you like without asking permission: just give credit, and use the same license for derivative works. # Governance How we make decisions at TDF Traditional Dream Factory is the first land-based DAO in Europe. We're at the frontier of new ways of organising, and there are not many blueprints to follow yet. Here's how we are setting it up (in progress). *Note: This is a birds-eye overview. For details consult respective* [*documents*](/documents). ## Legal Structure TDF is the first **Land Base** within **OASA Network**. The **TDF Land** is held by a **Portuguese Company**. The **Portuguese Company** is controlled by a **Swiss Association**. **Swiss Association** is an entity in itself, that binds all Land Bases within OASA Network to the *Regenerative Land Use Agreement*. That's the foundational and common use ALL land-bases share. All other decisions, as long as they align with this agreement, are within the sovereignty of each Land Base. Each Land Base is governed by their respective **DAO**, which makes all decisions, in agreement with regenerative agreement. Each Land Based DAO within OASA Network issues a **token** (in TDF we call it *Carrot*). Every *Member* who also holds *Carrots* can participate in the governance of TDF as explained in our [whitepaper](https://docs.google.com/document/d/12DZovTtv3upFhDgRQuDj6pazV87MRv_I8PLnVxJufFQ/edit). ℹī¸ We're aiming to pre-launch Carrots in December 2022. ## Decision Making TDF operates as a Do-ocracy: > "As creatives we constantly generate ideas. Having mere proposals is adding an information load to the others. When you arrive make sure that the Stewards add you to the *TDF Today Whatsapp* group. # MemberSHEEP 🐑 How to become a memeber of the Traditional Dream Factory 👉 *Direct link to this page:* [*https://bit.ly/membersheep*](https://bit.ly/membersheep) **Being a Member of the Traditional Dream Factory (TDF) means that TDF is one of your homes 🌈,** As a Member you can: * book a stay at TDF without a need for approval * stay at TDF at running costs, if you hold Carrots (our token) * earn tokens in exchange for your contribution * take part in our governance system and decision-making processes * become a Steward * (and more...) With great power, however, comes great responsibility: **We expect our Members to actively participate in developing TDF** by visiting at least once per year, participating in our community calls, and living up to the values of TDF. Circles are expected to suggest a proposal for the roadmap of their cycle including projects they want to execute and token allocation. Each circle (as well as TDF Stewards) selects a delegate. Delegates coordinate activities between circles within the *Coordination Circle.* Members contributing their energy within a Circle get compensated with tokens. The Stewardsheep Teams are seasonal following the solar cycle and are based in TDF for 3.5 months, including 2-week overlap for receiving the torch & knowledge from the previous team. They are made up of three people that can comfortably wear and share the three hats that are the pillars of TDF: * social * economic * environmental Stewards get compensated with free stay (food included) for the duration of Stewardsheep (and at cost of food for the rest of the year), tokens, and 20% cash on events and bookings to be divided between the team of Stewards.
